President SYNTHEON, North America
Peter A. Humphrey, P.E was appointed President of SYNTHEON, North America in December 2012 after serving as the Director, Design and Engineering since joining SYNTHEON under NOVA Chemicals in 2010.
Prior to joining SYNTHEON, Mr. Humphrey practiced consulting structural engineering for 20 years and brings a wealth of engineering and project experience in sustainable building design and a variety of LEED-accredited projects. His extensive technical expertise is coupled with a philosophy of collaborative client-oriented service.
Pete’s career includes significant work in educational facilities (both K-12 and college/university), commercial & industrial projects, institutional & public facilities, multi-family & senior living housing, and telecommunications facilities. He also has been involved in restoration & renovation projects, as well as numerous investigations, evaluations, and condition assessments.
Having forged his leadership and project management expertise through years of senior engineering and management positions, Pete summarizes his approach this way: “We partner with the design team and building owners to help bring their vision to life.”
Pete holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University, a 5-year professional degree specializing in the scientific and engineering aspects of planning, design, and construction of buildings. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states.
