ELEMIX enabled Kienstra/American Ready Mix to meet the design challenge of using a pumpable structural mix of 3000 psi with a maximum dry unit weight of 105.0, while being finisher-friendly. Normal lightweight concrete could not meet these specifications. The overall consistency of slump, pumpability, unit weight, strength and finishability of ELEMIX facilitated concrete that meets these stringent requirements.

This is one of the longest distances that lightweight concrete has been successfully pumped, placed and finished. ELEMIX provided the developers with increased efficiencies with easy placement, pumping and finishing while reducing building and transportation costs. Six pounds of ELEMIX replaced approximately two cubic feet of fine aggregate, facilitating less dependence on geographically-specific natural materials. River City Casino received the Quality Concrete Award from The Concrete Council.
